The Young family has operated Chinese restaurants in California since 1950. Their latest creation, Din Din at the Bamboo Terrace, is the result of three generations of experience in the restaurant business. The word "Din Din" refers to (1) the clamor made by cooking on woks; (2) the noise of people enjoying great food and drink; and (3) dinner. The name "Bamboo Terrace" has been retained to honor the Young family's early presence in Costa Mesa, and some of the original art and furnishings from their earlier restaurants to symbolize the Young family's restaurant history.
